Wildlands Restoration Volunteers provides competitive internship opportunities for people who want to gain valuable, hands-on experience in the ecological restoration and non-profit fields. Interns will work alongside senior staffers to support our mission of building a community of volunteers to restore the lands we love. Responsibilities in these positions are wide ranging from organizing restoration projects to writing grants, to marketing. The skills and experiences gained at WRV can provide interns a step along the path to a career in their chosen field. In return, we expect to work with enthusiastic, mature, hard-working people who will become an integral part of our staff during their internship.
Internships are unpaid positions, however if you are able to receive course credit or a stipend from a university or organization, we are happy to work with you to fulfill those requirements.
We welcome interns with interests in ecological restoration; outreach and volunteer management; fundraising; web design; site monitoring and GIS; or other areas related to our work. If you have a specific internship interest and would like to explore opportunities to work with, please get in touch! We welcome your internship proposals.
WRV also posts a list of current intern needs throughout the year. You are welcome to check this list or contact the WRV office to determine the status of current postings and inquire about future postings.
