Wildlands Restoration Volunteers is a non-profit organization that provides an opportunity
for people to come together, learn about their natural environment, and take direct action to
restore and care for the land. We'd love to have your help!
Montana and the surrounding northern rockies region contains natural beauty that draws people to live and visit here. However, our forests, streams, high country, and wildlife habitat have been impacted by historical human activity on the lands. Increasing recreational use and development are further impacting the region's ecosystems. At the same time, land management agencies and the public recognize an increasing need for restoration and local stewardship of impacted ecosystems. The northern rockies chapter of WRV provides opportunities for volunteers to become stewards of their public lands.
The Northern Rockies Chapter of Wildland Restoration Volunteers officially formed in Missoula, MT in May. All spring and summer our volunteers have been attending projects and trainings to build our restoration community. The chapter is excited about the expertise and resources it will provide for citizens to be stewards of their public lands.
Our organization requires resources to provide opportunities for volunteers, plan projects, and purchase restoration materials. We invite you to become one of our founding 100 members to support our ongoing work. Visit our membership page to join now. The Cinnabar Foundation is increasing the power of your membership with a matching grant up to $3,000.
